CHANDIGARH: This young girl has lived up to her name. Heera Raparia has shone in Tricity by topping commerce stream with 96.6% in Central Board of Secondary Education class XII results.
She is the only one from Panchkula to top in Tricity. A student of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula, she said, ''I never took tuitions, but studied regularly and attended classes religiously.''

For better education, it had sent me to Panchkula, where I stay with my uncle and aunt. I have realized my parents' dreams by securing the top slot,'' she beamed.
She said she knew she would score well, but the first position has come as a surprise. ''The result has boosted my confidence. My aim is to clear Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams,'' she added.
Heera, who is in Assam to spend vacations with her family, said she would soon be back in Panchkula to continue her journey towards her goal. ''I will pursue BCom and prepare for UPSC exams.''
Her father, Satyavan Chaudhary, who has a tea business, said, ''She has always been bright and among the toppers. In class X, she had scored 95%. I knew one day she will make us proud.''
